I was reading online this morning how on average people lose focus during work every 11 minutes. This feels pretty accurate for the most part, but I find when I’m making art it’s a whole new ballgame. I’m constantly forgetting to eat or not realizing that I haven’t heard a single note of the music that I put on. While painting recently I was unknowingly pressing the drawing board into my stomach, I only noticed hours later that I had a strange line shaped bruise on my stomach. There is something wonderful that happens in that zen like moment where nothing else matters, I’m sure many creative minds can relate to that.
